I finally found some good work. I've been pretty busy the past few weeks.

How do you think we keep tabs on Pat? (Grin) Just wanted to wish you

To all members of Chapter #240:

It has come to our attention that there are some questions as to who
can vote in Sunday's President election.  Attendance is the main
factor used when determining if someone is a full member or only an
associate member.  A President's responsibility is to lead by example
and promote Star Tour & Riding.  Therefore, we have set the following
guidelines to be followed in the 1/11/04 election.


For Chapter #240 election process January 11, 2004

If the current President, Peter Lentini's attendance is equal to the
stated % listed in your 2003 Charter under SECTION A, CHAPTER BYLAWS
item A.2, then anyone meeting the same standard and having a current
membership in Star Touring & Riding, can vote in this process. Proof
of membership should be presented either in the form of a membership
card or evidence of renewal.

If the current President, Peter Lentini's attendance is less than the
stated % listed in your 2003 Charter under SECTION A, CHAPTER BYLAWS
item A.2, then Peter's percentage of attendance must be figured.
Anyone meeting the same standard and having an active membership can
vote in this process.  Proof of membership should be presented either
in the form of a membership card or evidence of renewal.

Well, we finally had our *first* chapter election in our history!

This is just a quick note of thanks to the members of Star 240, for
your vote of confidence in Bob and I to guide the chapter through
2004.
We have both worked to project a positive image of our chapter and
pursue new riding oportunities for all our members.
I look forward to creating an atmosphere where all members feel free
to speak up and offer their suggestions for future activities.
Jason Blais, our new treasurer, will be planning a fund raiser ride
this summer and Bob and I have offered our support and
participation. Details of the event will be developed through your
input, and in cooperation with Jason's friends in the Elks
organization.
Dave, Bob, Jason and Scott have offered to design some of our
Chapter ride days.
Pat will be lending his talents to organize our ranks and help the
chapter run smoothly. His emphasis for riding safely will be a
priority of this chapter.
We have a Tin Star Rep! Arlene Rosenheim has submitted her
application to National and meets the requirement of Tin Star.
Congratulations Arlene. Your input on safety will also be
appreciated.
Glen will help "Shepard" new mmbers into the group and offer
guidance to other members who would like to bring friends along with
us.
Gidget will again represent us proudly as Lady Of Star
Representative.
Our new Secretary, Scott Adams will be backed up by Don Theberge, so
that our meetings will continue to be recorded and reported monthly.
We should all approach each meeting with a goal to improve activity
and participation among members and friends.

At the monthly meeting of Star 240, regular business was dismissed,
as Chapter 240 held elections of officers today 01/11/04.
Our members voted  for the ticket of  Anthony Pretti and Bob Frye.
Out going president, Peter Lentini and running mate Glen Turczyn, offered
their best wishes to the new executives.
We only had one couple not in attendance, they notified us ahead of time and
asked to be excused from the election.
