Well it looks like it will be a cold and stormy weekend. I hope it
isn't as bad as they are saying it can be. But maybe it will make the
Patriots game more fun to watch. Ricky williams dreads will freeze.

The weekend plans for the christmas gathering at Star291 and the
Polar Bear Run have been cancelled, due to the weather, so I guess
the next time any of us will see each other is at next weeks meeting.
Unless some one wants to suggest something we can do in the mean
time.

Star Days Registration begins on December 15.
In order to ensure that those of us, from 240 who will attend, have
accomodations together, or near each other, we should discuss our
plans at the December meeting.
I am definately going to Star Days and I will be reserving one of the
blocked rooms at the host hotel.
If any one else has made their decision to go, we should make our
reservations together, so that our rooms will be close to one and
other.

It was the Dec WOW, (Wednesday On Wheels). Like the night we went to Tennessee's
BBQ.
We went to Muddy River Smokehouse in Portsmouth, NH to meet the NERds (New
England riders).
Pat and Arlene, Jason and myself went and it was a good time. About 15 people, I
think. It's funny how you go to a few things like these, and you become friends
with perfect strangers. I like that.
The next one will be the second Wednesday in January, somewhere around Westford.
One of us will post the info at least a week in advance. You can visit the NERds
on their Delphi site. There is a link on our Delphi page. Look at the pull down
tab that says "of Interest To Members".
During the riding season, these are held weekly and the location changes each
time.

Start calling National at 10 AM Monday. Book a room even if you
cancel later. 400 rooms then you are on you're own. Last year was a
mess with more people than rooms. If you book a room and can't use
it, we will fill it ourselves. If you book a room, and we make other
plans, we can pass them on to others. Better safe than sorry! Plans
as of now are for (as Anthony calls it) the New England "Thunder
Train". I'm asking the Mass. Chapters to be a "Whistle Stop" for
northern riders on Friday night. They can leave work and have a place
with a host for friday night. Then we can form up and ride to PA on
Saturday morning for a get together before a "ThunderTrain" rolls
into VA on SUNDAY. Book hotel for check-in Sunday July 18 to check-
out on Saturday July 24. That's 6 nights. A credit card should hold
the room without incurring any charges. We'll travel Saturday the
24th to the same place in PA, and Home on Sunday the 25th. MARK your
Calendars. Looks like 20 for the SSB tomorrow. We may have to start a
LSB (Last Staurday Breakfast) ,also. We have some members who can't
make the SSB (240), because they have a chapter meeting that day.
Maybe we can do a different chapter location every month? I'll step
up and plan 291 for January 31,2004 and ask other chapters to take a
turn. Feb, Mar, etc.

Thanks for the heads up on room reservations.
I like the idea for the Whistle Stops too. I can definately accomodate a few
people here in Saugus, (or Saugust as Pat calls it). We can ride through the
Ted Williams Tunnel and get onto the Pike to meet you or just meander down
some back roads.
OK, Can I do the February LSB? Boston Street Cafe, on the line between the
beautiful town of Saugus and city of Lynn, MA. Definately a "Townie" feel,
but great buffet brunch. Our president, Pete Lentini is a regular there for
dinner. He will tell you how good the food is. If you can handle this in
town location, I will forward directions.
