Just to clarify;
He just dumped the computers on my porch, then called and told me I could probably get some use out of them. At that time, I said I didn't want them. He said I might be able to use the soundcard. Again I said I didn't want them and it would just cost me $20 to throw them away. Then, he fell silent.
Now, he tells me I'm being petty and to get some help.
I'm all set.
What a L00ZAH!

Pat,
I gave you those computers over a year ago, because you told me they should be of some use, if not just for the ASUS motherboard in one of them.
Now you decide that I "dumped them on you"?
Again, you are acting in a strange manner.
But since you choose to be so petty. I will mail you $20.00
Check's in the mail.
Get some help.

Last fall I made a decision to forego the chapter election process and decline to be a candidate for president of the chapter. I had many personal problems. The time needed to fix them would cut into the time needed to be part of the chapter. I never did take the time to complete fix any of those things. My mind is full of conflict over priorities. I find it even more difficult to deal with the chapter issues now. I think I may even be compounding some issues by my actions. I am not a quiet person.
At this time, I still have several personal issues that need to be dealt with. I need to focus on my life and not get overly involved in riding this season.
For that reason I am resigning my position on the Board of Trustees.
I would like to remain a member of the chapter, but please understand that conflicts, like the one Pat and I have begun, are not good for the group. We are two strongly opinionated men. Maybe one of us will do a better job than both. I will leave it to Pat and promise not to interfere.
I thought I could deal with matters in a direct manor, but I was too aggressive and I hurt a friend. I should have kept things to myself and let others go directly to Pat.
Sincerely,
Anthony

I can tell the old group is not going to change - the part-time
president totally disregards the charter, the members are all sheep.

Good riddance.

Patrick, Patrick, Patrick. I thought I was your friend? No matter how it turned out at 240, a friend is always a friend to me. You were angry, I understand that. You were hurt, I understand that. You blame me, I understand that. I don't understand not answering any emails, but sending a Christmas card? Not talking to me until you want something? And now, leaving Star and starting something, that you know I can't support (officially), and I will be questioned from all the others on the mailing. I will be happy to attend, along with my friends, and others, because you are my friend. I can't ask the others to. Call when you want to talk.

Pat, I won't, and wouldn't ask anyone NOT to support any bike event. As State Director, I can't ask support for a non-Star event. I can't ask anyway, each group is autonymous. My role is stricktly to uphold the Charter, and promote Star. As your friend, I will be there. As a member of 240, I will be there if the Chapter President approves the event. The only difference is, as your friend, I won't wear my vest. As a member of all the chapters in Mass. I will wear my vest to any approved ride. As State Director, wearing my vest, my role is to promote Star. I will be proud to ride with you anytime you want, almost anywhere. I think Bob Frye will support this. I (personally) do not support the MMA any longer. Anthony also knows this, as well as Paul Cote. I still ride with my MMA friends, because they are my friends. I feel the MMA is directly responsible for the increase in MA Insurance rates to those with less than 6 years experience. They pushed the bill, and accepted the amendments because they wanted choice. I am very involved in state politics as a Member of the Town Democtratic Committee. I hope that explains why my ONLY support is for STAR. I still ride with the NERDS and choose the rides and events I participate in. As a non-drinker I no longer belong to or support any HOG events. I hope you realize my hands are tied when it comes to the Charter. There was nothing either way I could do to help you. I ride with many different hats, and vests, as you do. I look forward to seeing you, and you and Arlene are always welcome here.

I stated to him, but he already knew, thta I was no longer associated
with either star240 or star.

The dealer asked me to get the other groups involved (star, gwrra) that
are suppoorted by his dealership.

I agreed that it was in the best interests of all involved.

If you are going to urge star240 to not support this effort, that is
your right.

The events will go on, with or without their support.

I don't want anything from you, Bob. I was just keeping you in the loop
and also because I didn't think I had bob fryes email. All I wanted was
to make sure he got it.

I didn't answer your emails because I was angry. I was betrayed, and I
wanted no part of it. I knew it was over when I called you 15minutes
before our brunch. You had stated to me that youu would definitely be
there to support me, but when you answered the phone and said you were
doing yard work....

....that's when I knew it was over. Your support of anthony at the
meeting only confirmed that. I left because his clique had taken over,
and he was back in total control. I wanted no part of the anthony
admiration society. They abolished any and all attendance requirements,
by the way.

I sent you a card because I thought you were my friend.

I didn't answer emails because there was only one, that urged me to
support anthony & crew.

Look, it doesn't matter to me if you or anyone in star suppoorts me. I
like to ride, and that's what I do. I also like to lead and encourage
others to do the same. I also feel that we should support those who
support us, like the dealer, the mma and mmsf, the ama, the mrf, etc. If
you don't, that's you prerogative. Holy shades of bobby brown!

See you on the road sometime!

I'll remove you from my email list if you dislike receiving them,
especially if you view them as only wanting something froim you. Just
let me know...

I am very happy with the new club, and they want me to be VP!

I might take the 2nd half of today, and all of tomorrow, off to go
riding...

Welcome to 2006. I hope all the new Presidents are settled in and ready to have fun. At your first meeting this month, if you have not had it yet, it is required that you read the Charter to your Chapter. Pay attention to the new wording. It states that the Star Toruing and Riding name may not be affiliated with any other group, club, or fraternity, without written permission from National.

I have been approached by a former member, and president, of a Star Chapter in soliciting Chapters for a BBQ and Band Performance on the North Shore. I informed him that not only, I would not, but that I could not ask for participation. The Star name, logo, and affiliation is protected by copyrights. Any other group at the same dealership should be separate from the Star Group since both groups would be competing for sponsor dollars.

If the event is sponsored by the Dealer, then by all means I would encourage participation, with the key word being encourage. As an individual, all are free to do as they please concerning other groups, with the exception of patches on the Vest, that is clearly stated in the Charter. I feel I would have to discourage participation in any joint Motorcycle Club Events that would use the Star name as an attraction to their event.

I will forward a copy of this to National and the person involved so there is no misunderstanding. If I stand corrected, you will be notified.

I'm through being nice. Stop accusing me of things I did not do.

No way did we ever try to take the dealer away from star240. False
accusation, Michael. I never tried to take the dealer away from star240.
I was the one that suggested we work together, but Bob made sure that
wouldn't happen.

I cc'd the dealer on this.

I am still a member at large in star.

I never said you stabbed me in the back. I said you threw me under the
bus. And, you did. Bob lied to my face, and then threw me under the bus.
That's a fact. I sent him a Chriastmas card, and he took offense at
that. Ok, no more cards.

There is no spite. Except from members of star, that is.

I did not ask Bob to support my riding group, I asked him for his
support of our dealer, both for my new group and for star. He said no
and also sent emails to others telling them not to go, not to wear their
vests, not to support us because we were trying to capitalize on the
star name. Screw that.

I have a tendency to ignore liars. I'm like that. Sorry, but you'll just
have to deal with that.

So, are you saying star doesn't get involved with any motorcycle groups?
Like the ama? Like rolling thunder? Like americade? Like laconia? like
the mma? Good. That will be a relief to everyone I'm sure.

Get over yourself.

As you may know, as president of the local Star chapter last year I was
asked to organize a BBQ at the dealership. Well, needless to say it was
a huge success, both for the chapter as well as the dealer.

This success was mostly due to the fact that the Riockafellas band
played that day and had the place jumping! There was lots of effort from
all involved and everyone contributed greatly to the success of the
event.

This year I was asked to put on a couple of thee events, and as VP of
the NorthShore Riders, I would like to suggest that we all work together
to make this event an even bigger success. With all three clubs
participating, this could really work well to our mutual benefit. Would
you be open to having a meeting or perhaps corresponding via email on
this subject? The three of us working together on this can make this
event one that is definitely not to be missed!

If the presidents and vice-presidents could all get together on this, I
think we could cascade this info and our progress to our individual club
members.

We picked out a couple of dates at our meeting, June 25th & July 30th
seem to be good dates. What do you guys think?

Let's all work together to support the dealer that supports us!

Please forward to Bob Frye, as I don't know if I have his email address
correct.
Please also forward to Jim Slattery, as I don't have his email address,
either.

WTF are you talking about?

I did not leave star. I remain a member-at-large until my membership
expires.

I did not, in spite or otherwise, try to take the dealer away from
chapter 240.

Who is feeding you these lies, or did you manufacture them all by
yourself?

Your accusations are groundless.

BTW, your title holds no weight here. Be yourself, or be gone...

Patrick,
You have misinterrupted every word I have written. It is and always has
been up to any individual as to how they want to participate in any
motorcycle type arena. My control is quite limited in influencing any
one persons choices.

I'm saddened that you involved the individuals included in this e-mail.
Future communication on this subject or other issues will be done via

The ex President of Chapter 240, Essex County, Patrick Rosenhiem, has
started a new group called the North East Riders. They are seeking
status as a Honda Chapter, and have asked the same dealer that sponsors
Star Touring and Riding chapter 240, 128 Cycles, to sponsor them, also.
According to the Charter, signed by all the presidents and read to the
chapters, we are not allowed to lend the Star Name to any other group,
club, fraternity, or organization, without the written permission from
National. I have sent a letter in the past, as I do now, and will say
again, anything an individual decides to do, or attend, as an
individual, we have no control over. I cannot, and will not endorse any
event or group, who is competing for the same dollars as we are, from
our dealers. As an individual, I am free to do anything I desire. I had
planned to attend the Cycles 128 event because Patrick was a friend of
mine. However, in light of all the problems he has caused, through the
emails of his group and himself personally, I can not, and will not ask
anyone to do anything outside of Star. That is not my role. I have
always supported 128 Cycles in any Star events, but have to draw a
personal line when it comes to Patrick. He was asked to stay on as a
member at large and chose to take a different path. Good Luck to him and
his friends. However, after a recent email and accusations regarding our
non support of 128 Cycles I have to speak up. I will support ANY STAR
EVENT at any dealer or sponsor. You may make any choice of your own.

Bob;

You are being quite the pompous ass. Your title holds no weight at all. Get over yourself. That being said, let’s move on;

This web page; http://startouring.org/newweb/new_frame.cfm?main_state=new_contact.cfm contains Star Touring’s Mission Statement, which reads as follows;

STAR Touring and Riding - Mission Statement

To pursue, promote and protect the interests of motorcyclists; to develop better and more enthusiastic relations between the general public, the media and the operators and riders of motorcycles; to encourage rider participation in events; to promote motorcycle safety and comradaderie among members; to promote organized events; and in general, perform them in a lawful manner.

You are not following that statement, and you are a detriment to the organization. That’s my opinion. Deal with it.

You say that I am no longer a member. I just logged on to the Star Touring website; and checked my status;

As you can see, I am still a member, albeit not a chapter 240 member. I AM NOW, AND REMAIN, A MEMBER-AT-LARGE. Neither you nor the idiot regional director can affect that. Yet, you both seem convinced that I have somehow “left Star” or “chosen a different path”. Let me reiterate, in case your tiny minds failed to comprehend my earlier statement; I AM NOW, AND REMAIN, A MEMBER-AT-LARGE. (Gee, I hope I made that clear enough for even the two of you).

In your most recent email, copied below in it’s entirety, you allude to the chapter charter, which has no bearing on anything I do since I am a member at large and not a member of chapter 240. It’s true that I am starting a new group, and it’s also true that we are sponsored by the same dealer that sponsors chapter 240, as well as a chapter of the GWRRA (look it up, Google is your friend). There is nothing wrong with this, and in fact, several dealers nationwide have this very same or similar arrangement. There is no “competing for the same dollars as we are, from our dealers” as you so erroneously report to your sheep. The “dollars”, I assure you, are quite separate and distinct.

And, the alleged “problems” that I have caused have been precipitated by you, and only you.

I asked you to support the same dealer that supports my new group as well as chapter 240 and the GWRRA, and I also suggested that all three groups could work together to further promote motorcycling and motorcyclists to the general public. You have twisted this somehow into some sort of attempt to capitalize on the “Star” name, which I assure you it was not. Now, you further qualify that statement by saying you would support “ANY STAR EVENT”, but yet you also say you will not attend the BBQ or the other events at the dealer put on by another group. This seems to go against the STAR mission statement (see above).

In closing, let me just state that you and *ANY* motorcyclist will always be welcomed at any of our public events, and we will attend *ANY* public events we want to, in our quest to promote our hobby. You can also choose to stay away. It’s your choice. You can try to sway the opinions of others with half-truths, blatant ignorance, and outright lies, as you seem wont to do. That’s also your choice.

I chose this time to defend myself, and my actions. You don’t need to reply, and if you do I will just ignore it as being unworthy of being read. I said it before, and I’ll say it again, your pompous posturing and blatant attempts to undermine any goodwill among different groups and is not welcome. Your ‘title’ means nothing, it holds no weight at all. Get over yourself.

The truth is available for all to see, at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/STAR240/.

Have a nice day.

Here’s a suggestion, Bob. Police your MA chapters, and leave me alone. Star 240’s website is so full of sexual innuendo, mostly between Anthony Pretti and his current “meal ticket”, that it makes even me blush. Subject: To All Massachusetts Presidents

The ex President of Chapter 240, Essex County, Patrick Rosenhiem, has started a new group called the North East Riders. They are seeking status as a Honda Chapter, and have asked the same dealer that sponsors Star Touring and Riding chapter 240, 128 Cycles, to sponsor them, also. According to the Charter, signed by all the presidents and read to the chapters, we are not allowed to lend the Star Name to any other group, club, fraternity, or organization, without the written permission from National. I have sent a letter in the past, as I do now, and will say again, anything an individual decides to do, or attend, as an individual, we have no control over. I cannot, and will not endorse any event or group, who is competing for the same dollars as we are, from our dealers. As an individual, I am free to do anything I desire. I had planned to attend the Cycles 128 event because Patrick was a friend of mine. However, in light of all the problems he has caused, through the emails of his group and himself personally, I can not, and will not ask anyone to do anything outside of Star. That is not my role. I have always supported 128 Cycles in any Star events, but have to draw a personal line when it comes to Patrick. He was asked to stay on as a member at large and chose to take a different path. Good Luck to him and his friends. However, after a recent email and accusations regarding our non support of 128 Cycles I have to speak up. I will support ANY STAR EVENT at any dealer or sponsor. WTF are you talking about? I'm sorry if you think that I am
"misinterrupting" you. I see no need for any further communication, so I
won't be calling you. Conversely, you do not need to call me, either. You
are free to wallow in your own ignorance.

I did not leave star. I remain a member-at-large until my membership
expires. Please see my response to BobCatBob's email "To All Massachusetts
Presidents"...

I did not, in spite or otherwise, try to take the dealer away from chapter
240. How is that even possible? Are you serious?

Who is feeding you these lies, or did you manufacture them all by yourself?

Your accusations are groundless.

BTW, your title holds no weight here. Be yourself, or be gone...

Here's a suggestion, Mike. Police your MA chapters, and leave me alone. Star

Patrick,
You have misinterrupted every word I have written. It is and always has been

up to any individual as to how they want to participate in any motorcycle
type arena. My control is quite limited in influencing any one persons
choices.

I'm saddened that you involved the individuals included in this e-mail.
Future communication on this subject or other issues will be done via
telephone.

Patrick, you've crossed the line. I hope Arlene, your children, and
grandchildren are proud of you. What is really going on? I have spoken
to John at 128 Cycles, Mike Mullen, Bob Frye, and members of your new
group. I think it is very clear where I stand. Re-read every email and
you will see that I will not support you or your group, but never told
anyone else not to. You have burnt bridges you can never repair. So
long old friend.
