How come getting these posts are like getting pieces of a jig-saw puzzle?  ..NOW are we insinuating that the voting process is going to be corrupted somehow?

Patrick, this is the Official Answer

Bob, the rule is against letting someone else have your vote and voting their way.

absentee is for a member with good reason that cannot attend. not because the tv has a special they don't want to miss, but a real reason to send a written vote for a real person/s.

the ruling is against several members signing a letter that says "majority present can have my vote to cast as they wish" or versions there of.

Hi Roxanne and Everyone elso too, No, the voting is not corrupt or
anything like that. A question was asked by a few members if they
could vote by absentee ballot in the Dec. election. From what I
understand the answer from the Regional Director (At least I think the
answer came from him. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) That you
may vote with an absentee ballot for a specific person running for
Pres., but you may not give your vote to another member or members to
vote for you. You must have a good reason for not being able to vote
in person. Such as being out of town, ill, working, but not just going
to miss your favorite tv program. So please everyone, if you are able
to attend the December meeting, come and cast your vote. It is very
important for the future of our chapter. Remember that nominations for
President are in November. Thank you. Patty D.

Thanks Patty.  Here's another question........why do I receive yahoo group emails in randiom order so I can't follow a simple conversation?  I received the answer to the question yesterday and today I received the email where Anthony, I  believe it was, asked the question in the first place.  It's like being a contestant on Jeopardy.....

I couldn't care less who is or isn't allowed to post to this forum
or any forum, nor what they can or cannot post. I just want it to
stop raining so I can do some yard work and go riding. Anyone can
join this forum, membership doesn not require approval. Heck, just
make up a new Yahoo email account and off-you-go.

Folks, there are way more important things in life to worry about.
Back in my home in NH, there are three dead due to flooding. And
one of my best friends from college, his ex-girlfriend dropped dead
last Thursday due to an aneurysm, 29 years old. We could all go any
minute; terrorism, EEE, motor vehicle accident (just ask Louie and
Gail).

Turn off the computer. tell your spouse you love them, buy your
buddy a beer, take your dog for a walk, or, once it stops raining,
go for a ride.

Later kids!!!!!

Hi Roxanne, Sorry I can't answer that one. I really don't know anything
about computers or how they work. It's all so very confusing on how
these things do anything. I'm lucky I know how to turn it on. My son
taught me everything I know about computers and you must know how that
went. (geezze Ma don't you know anything. Just push the back button. As
if I knew where that was.) Hope to see you Sunday if the weather is on

I notice that it has been over 2 months since the last rotation of the
Board of Trustees Chapter Representative appointment.
I would like to formaly request appointment to the Board, as the
Chapter Representative, for the next 2 months.
I feel this would be good for the chapter at large, because it would
bring a member at large perspective to the board, through the voice of
chapter members.
Please let me know of your decision before any BOT meetings occur.

Hi guys, I just found this out a few minutes ago. I missed the meeting
when this was addressed due to my accident. Pat made Pam Foss the BOT
member till the end of the year. The position is not open. Also, this
has nothing to do with Pam Foss, She is one of the nicest persons there
are and a valued member to this chapter.

Oh well, I was just trying to help fill the void.
Wouldn't that have been a board of trustees decision?
How would it happen without the Sgt at Arms?
Funny how rules just get flip flopped whenever the mood strikes.

your are correct Lou, Pam is a wonderful person.

But when was her position made permanent?
Wouldn't you have had a vote on that?
You are a member of the board.

MAYBE since there were just over 2 months left in the year anyway,
Pam's term was extended to cover until the end of the
year......Probably if the BOT posted minutes of what they discussed
and decided at their meetings then we'd all be up to speed and know
what's going on. I learned that the BOT and everything gets changed
anyway with the incoming administration.....is that true? ROXANNE

ROXANNE

Hi Roxanne, This wasn't discussed at a BOT meeting. Pat changed it at the Sept meeting. I wasn't there due to my accident so I didn't know either. I also thought it was an oversight and the position was open, until another BOT member pointed it out to me that Pat stated she would be the BOT member till the end of the year. Personally I think she's a kind hearted lovable person. So it's not such a big deal, just a mistake. Not worth sweating the little things..... Hugs Louie <><

I guess the Secretary was slacking off or that would have been included in the minutes of the meeting

Cyma;

Please initiate the transfer of domain name star240.com. It is now unlocked
and I will approve the transfer as soon as I am notified that it has been
initiated.

I have modified the domain nameservers to ns1.haynesllc.com and
ns2.haynesllc.com per Lou's instructions. I have not modified the contact
info. Cyma can do that after she transfers the domain.

Please note that I will be shutting down the Yahoo group as well. Cyma can
arrange for an alternate. I will probably shut it down later today.

Please direct any and all website questions to the new webmaster.

To all members, The Star240 forum will be down for a short while. Pat
has transfered the ownership over to Cyma and I. He stated that it
could be down for about 48 hours, after that it should be back on
track. Pat has done a wonderful job as the Webmaster for the past two
years, so much so that most members like myself felt lost when it was
off for a short while. Pat sold the domain name for next to nothing and
I realy appreciate that. I know he had the chapter members in mind when
he sold it. I apologize for the interruption but it shouldn't be for
long. I'm also going to see how to go about having the domain name
chapter owned. Thank you Pat for all the hard work you put into
building this Website, you did a great job. Louie <><

I guess it would be pronounced Mrs P michzama.

Ok, but my question was: how do you pronounce it?
It is so difficult to get a straight answer around here!
It must be me.

I''ll tell you what happened - when I signed up for Yahoo groups years ago I was going to make by user name mrsp and my password michzama but I screwed up and the whole thing came out as my user name......I would tell you what michzama means but then I would have to kill you.

ROXANNE
